William Radice
(b. 1951) is perhaps best known as a brilliant translator of Rabindranath Tagore; but he has also published several volumes of poetry, including the remarkable sequence of 101 sonnets »Green, Red, Gold« (2005). And he has translated libretti for English National Opera. William Radice teaches Bengali language and literature at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
