EIS / ICE
Winter 2009–10 in Hamburg was astonishing: for two
months the Alster, Hamburg’s large city lake (1.6 km²), was
frozen over; for four weeks the ice was so thick that
Brueghel-like scenes became commonplace. But the ice
itself was in a permanent state of flux. These prints reflect its
transformations during that time.
